Overview

ESF schools receive a subsidy from the Hong Kong Government to provide an education for English speaking children who cannot access the local system. Our schools are not selective: admission depends above all on the student's ability to benefit from an ESF education. Please click here to see our Admissions Policy.

General Applications for ESF Primary and Secondary Schools for 2010/11 and 2011/12

Parents may submit application for admissions through our Online Admissions System to the current academic year and, commencing on 1 September for the next academic year. There are waitlists at each of our schools and placement is dependent on places being available.
 
You may submit an application to ESF Primary/Secondary School and also to either ESF or Private Independent Schools. Parents are permitted to apply to both systems. For statistical purposes parents are asked to indicate schools applied to by ticking the box(es) on the online application form.

Central Applications for 2011/12 Year One (born in 2006) and Year Seven (born in 2000)

Application period: Central Application commences 1 September 2010.

Year One born in 2006 may apply from 1-30 September 2010

Year Seven born in 2000 may apply from 1-30 September 2010

Corporate Surety Scheme

ESF introduced a Corporate Surety scheme in 2007 to enable companies to secure school places for expatriate employees before their arrival in Hong Kong over the summer months. The scheme runs from 1 January to 30 June of each year. There are limited Surety places. The surety scheme will be open for application for August 2011 admissions in January 2011. Application to ESF Private Independent Schools (PIS)

Applications to ESF Private Independent Schools - Renaissance College and Discovery College are to be completed on separate application forms located on the individual school websites.
